</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="163" qda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVCGTAWZWNjIQlAMN_rDlunkHvKVUgh0JNKtCIduAByMt42KvF-V-uVw0eg_pKy31-_iz-qclZta4Ae4F82Jb0GxEk9OYpiHv2QUuW2-zUZGYUq_Xk9AA45iMaHtw9-SpAR8EmRAO3rpA/s400/538145_200499743395730_110757539036618_320766_324670240_n.jpg" width="400" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Yesterday I underwent my second chemical peel and first microdermabrasion procedure at Cyfoes Healthcare. If you would like to visit their website, please click <a href="http://www.cyfoeshealthcare.com/" target="_blank">HERE</a>. They've also updated their website since I last posted about my peels so go check it out. I won't explain the chemical peel in detail as I have already done a review previously on my blog. If you would like to read this post first, please click <a href="http://becslifeonline.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/chemical-peel-at-cyfoes-healthcare-ltd.html" target="_blank">HERE</a>. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">The only difference with the second peel was that the strength was increased slightly. First time around I had two vitamin C's and one 24. This time around I had one vitamin C and two 24's. Now I'm not entirely sure what those numbers mean but I know that yesterdays was stronger than the first. Logic would tell me that next time I go, I will have three 24's??? My face was more red straight after the peel yesterday than it was the first time but the redness went away in about 10 minutes.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Now, onto the diamond microdermabrasion! I'm not going to lie... It hurt haha. But not in a horribly painful way. Instead I would describe it as a this-is-really-hurting-so-it's-got-to-be-doing-some-good kinda pain. Maybe I just quite like the feeling of pain. It felt a bit similar to rubbing sandpaper on your face but the diamond tips on the tool Andrea was using are obviously way better for your face than sandpaper haha.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Since I'm not very good at describing medical cosmetic procedures I am plagiarising a small section from the website thus probably breaking every copyright law in the book, but hey, free advertising remember... Don't sue me Cyfoes or I won't be able to afford any more treatments. Nooooo.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">At Cyfoes Healthcare we use a diamond microdermabrasion system which provides a non-surgical skin resurfacing procedure. Through the use of sterile diamond heads the top layer of skin is rubbed away, then all the dead skin cells, dirt and other particles are vacuumed up. This leaves the living skin cells exposed which are smooth, soft and receptive to nutrients. The vacuuming also stimulates the epidermis, promoting the generation of new collagen and increases blood flow. To get optimum results from this treatment it is advised that you have a series of treatments, typically 4-8 treatments spaced 10-14 days apart, with significant results seen within 5-6 weeks.</div><br />
Conditions improved with Microdermabrasion:<br />
•Open pores<br />
•Sun damage<br />
•Uneven pigmentation<br />
•Superficial blemishes<br />
•Age spots<br />
•Fine lines and wrinkles<br />
•Small scars<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">Once again the experience at Cyfoes was second to none. The specialist is very friendly and the clinic is a clean, modern and very peaceful environment. Not only did I emerge from there with rejuvenated skin cells, I also felt extremely relaxed. Thank you so much Cyfoes. I will be visiting again in the near future for certain.</div><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">Disclaimer: I am not paid by Cyfoes to write this review or endorse their products and I paid for my treatments with my own money. When you genuinely feel like you've discovered a miracle, it's hard to not rant and rave about it. Try it and you will see for yourselves.</div>BecsLifeOnlinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01475191407321076235noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6174761602140038237.post-63524223742345625192012-04-18T19:00:00.003+01:002012-04-19T10:22:41.617+01:00Hello Kitty Eyeshadow Palette by Liberty LondonIf you couldn't already guess from my previous posts. I am a little bit (read: hugely) obsessed with Hello Kitty (and cupcakes). I am also a huge lover of makeup so I was ecstatic when I came across this eyeshadow palette for sale on Ebay. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKswGOJR_LNGUZ-3pT22UIQlPAjrjPlPBPGGdkEdONh5OL1KJKP6O8C_Pg4uGEbM1mVDp-UiKr-X144IPrgiS_akbqMqY3qz4m-YZDMzYaPv39EUB3NFzugWZMFFz5h5afR4eGTssHsEA/s1600/P2290206.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" nda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKswGOJR_LNGUZ-3pT22UIQlPAjrjPlPBPGGdkEdONh5OL1KJKP6O8C_Pg4uGEbM1mVDp-UiKr-X144IPrgiS_akbqMqY3qz4m-YZDMzYaPv39EUB3NFzugWZMFFz5h5afR4eGTssHsEA/s400/P2290206.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><br />
The eight colours do not have individual names but as you can see they all have a shimmer to them. Seven of the colours are quite neutral tones, with one bright blue to add a splash of colour to the palette. The colour payoff is really good and they are quite pigmented. The little compact has a mirror with a cute hello kitty image on the lower right hand corner and it also comes with a little brush (which I probably won't use).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju9dYqepojjpRxwjJi8k2afN5XLMburIFt6Buz6T5zKFkGtH6cIEmUBRAkZ4yC9ZZICADPGXBd2NlJv0K8jQ5haoDj-gEBzMnVGVED72j1siroFXAKrV0UNSmawZZUgSZL1Vpea8rvDO0/s1600/P2290201.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="cssfloat: left; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" nda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju9dYqepojjpRxwjJi8k2afN5XLMburIFt6Buz6T5zKFkGtH6cIEmUBRAkZ4yC9ZZICADPGXBd2NlJv0K8jQ5haoDj-gEBzMnVGVED72j1siroFXAKrV0UNSmawZZUgSZL1Vpea8rvDO0/s400/P2290201.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>This is the front of the palette. It's absolutely beautiful. So cute! If you click <a href="http://www.liberty.co.uk/fcp/product/liberty/womens-accessories/hello%20eyes%20eye%20shadow%20compact,%20liberty%20art%20fabrics%20for%20hello%20kitty/69911" target="_blank">HERE</a> you will be redirected to the Liberty London website where you can see more details about this product. Unfortunately the product is currently out of stock but as I said I picked it up for a couple of pounds on Ebay (RRP £8) so you never know you might be lucky like me :-)BecsLifeOnlinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01475191407321076235noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6174761602140038237.post-14989521912146864162012-04-17T16:54:00.007+01:002012-04-19T10:23:37.439+01:00What's the Difference Between a BB Cream and a Tinted Moisturiser???If you are looking for the answer to this question then you might as well not read any further. This is a question I am posing to anyone who reads this as I genuinely do not know the answer. A while ago I posted here about the BB cream that Garnier were giving away free samples of if you liked their facebook page. Mine arrived in the post a few weeks ago and I was so excited to try them out!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlzLPHYISHvjwTWn8uif26mY4UvzuTDYMqFlWNUNdjUOeJoIox-lvPYGc-bnqORn4qFlKMiO4RVMObqp_iL3M-i5iS7jTW_PsACQVUNGeQbfthSCj5ym7ejSU3fwOjrw1BLWV9wdiPZUs/s1600/P1300174.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="cssfloat: left; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" nda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlzLPHYISHvjwTWn8uif26mY4UvzuTDYMqFlWNUNdjUOeJoIox-lvPYGc-bnqORn4qFlKMiO4RVMObqp_iL3M-i5iS7jTW_PsACQVUNGeQbfthSCj5ym7ejSU3fwOjrw1BLWV9wdiPZUs/s400/P1300174.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>The little package contained 3 sachets of the 'wonder cream' and I've so far used one sachet. Based on first impressions I do not think I will be buying the full sized product but there is still 2 sachets left, after which I could possibly change my mind (but I doubt it).<br />
<br />
I watch a whole load of makeup gurus on youtube and they all rave about how miraculous BB creams are for achieving a flawless finish. I had my doubts long before I tried this one. My suspicions were somewhat verified when I watched a video by 'gossmakeupartist' in which he talks about BB creams as being little more than glorified tinted moisturiers. You can watch the video by clicking <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVGWFrwXw0Q&feature=plcp&context=C4c8b29eVDvjVQa1PpcFP8MgcFwNpYILkrs3-9j7WWAjutHwBFSa8=" target="_blank">HERE</a>. <br />
<br />
In the description box of the video mentioned above, he says:<br />
<br />
"A moisturiser? A primer? A foundation? A concealer? A sunblock? Covers acne? Yes, thats what BB creams can do... apparently. BB Cream really is trying to be everything to everyone and if its not careful will be nothing to no one. In truth a BB cream is nothing more than a tinted moisturiser. Suddenly not so exciting is it!"<br />
<br />
He does make a disclaimer that in the video he is specifically talking about Western BB creams and not the Asian BB creams that became so popular in the beauty circle a while back. I have not tried any of the Asian ones. Is there a difference? <br />
<br />
Judging also by the fact that I have only seen two shades of BB cream - Light/Medium and Medium/Dark, I would say that in this respect it falls short of a tinted moisturiser, which comes in many different shades.<br />
<br />
I would love to know your thoughts!! Please voice your opinions in the comment box.<br />
<br />
Au revoir!BecsLifeOnlinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01475191407321076235noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6174761602140038237.post-50966892850868234572012-04-16T16:17:00.002+01:002012-04-19T10:25:01.475+01:00H&M Nail Polish HaulHi peeps :-)<br />
<br />
I took a trip to the big city last week and amongst my many purchases were these three gorgeous nail polishes from H&M. Seriously, they do such an awesome colour range that I had a hard time trying to pick which ones to have. I wanted them all! I chose my favourite three but there was sooooo many more that I liked and wanted. Hopefully I will add to my collection soon. These polishes were £2.99 each - Bargain!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The green and the blue are quite true to colour but the middle one is actually a hot pink and not the coral colour it seems in these photographs. I really have to invest in a new camera which can capture true colour.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The colour above is the one I have on my nails at the moment. It's a very bright pink and so beautiful for the summer months. The name of this colour is 'Check Me Out'.</div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The above sky blue colour is also very bright and this one's name is 'Blue My Mind'.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This polish is an absolutely stunning green. With one coat, the colour payoff was not as good as the other two, but with two coats it looks exactly like it does in the bottle. The name of this one is 'Polish Me Happy'.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

I ordered one of these nail colour swatch wheels from Ebay so I was eager to put my first three colours on them. I decided I would only put my new nail polish colours on there instead of some of the older ones I've had for a couple of years. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Excited is not the word!! Ikea is going to be my new best friend. It's a rather scary time of my life though, I've got a mortgage waaaaa! Good thing I paid for my chemical peels in advance as I sense there won't be any more luxuries such as that for quite a while. I might not even have luxuries such as heating and electricity once my mortgage is paid every month. Good thing it's approaching summer time. Warmer weather and lighter mornings and evenings will mean I can save on my bills. BILLS??!?!?!! Aaarrgghhh!! </div>BecsLifeOnlinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01475191407321076235noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6174761602140038237.post-12306462141304835462012-03-18T17:01:00.001+00:002012-04-19T09:37:56.056+01:00Birthday Haul :-D<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: justify;">The birthday festivities are over for another year, and now the dust has settled I thought I would share with you what I had for my birthday. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">I was sooo excited to recieve these gifts. My boyfriend, friends and family know me sooo well! I love anything with cupcakes or hello kitty on, and I also have a candle obsession. I LOVE perfume and jewellery and the notepad and pen is PERFECT for my lists. Have I mentioned I make lists? LOTS of lists. I think it's called OCD.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br />

They look so cute and yummy too! I had some cupakes given to me for my birthday at work, as well as numerous cupcake cards. I'm wondering now "Do I REALLY go on about cupcakes so much that everyone knows I love them and chooses their birthday purchases accordingly?" Oh well, I'm not complaining, the more cupcakes the merrier!! <br />
<br />
Stay tuned for a birthday haul coming up in the next couple of days. It will contain lots of cupcake and hello kitty goodies :-D <br />
<br />
Tonight I am going out for a meal to an Indian restaurant with the love of my life. I'm lucky this year as my birthday has fallen on a Friday. Tomorrow the celebrations start all over again woop woop! I'll be going to the cinema and to a different Asian restaurant for another meal tomorrow. I LOVE food, and Asian food has to be the best food in the world! I think I will take pictures of my meals and share with you what I had to eat. Well... Not literally 'share' but you know what I mean ;-)<br />
<br />
Well since it's about an hour and a half until I go out, I think I'd better start getting ready!!!BecsLifeOnlinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01475191407321076235noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6174761602140038237.post-43176096707494010582012-03-13T22:18:00.001+00:002012-04-19T09:46:56.081+01:00Meet my Compassion Sponsored Children Kajol and AkhiljithSorry it's been a few days... I've been selling on Ebay like mad. The hope was that it would become a multi-million pound empire and I'd never have to worry about money again. In reality it made me about £60. Still, that was £60 I didn't have before. Plus, I've now shifted a load of stuff I didn't want.<br />
<br />
Anyway, here are two beautiful children Kajol (8) and Akhiljith (6). They are both from India and I sponsor them through a Christian charity called Compassion. You can find a link to this charity in the side bar. They regularly send me cute little letters and pictures and I am regularly updated on their progress in school etc. Thought I would just share the cuteness with you :-)<br />

This is another post that I was sorry to lose from my old blog, so I thought I would repost it here. By the way, the picture above was taken from a website called Bubbles and Butterflies. It contains some lovely name wall hangings. I really like the Rebecca one, I might just see if it is still available to buy. If you want to check out the site you can click <a href="http://www.bubblesbutterflies.com/photo%20gallery.html" target="_blank">here</a>. I didn't ask for permission to use the picture, but I'm sure if I am directing people to the site then I don't think they would have a problem with it. Hope not anyway! <br />
<br />
Anyway, this post comes from a tag I was tagged to do quite a few years back. The requirements were to put your name into Google followed by the word 'needs' and then post the top ten results. It was a bit of fun and my name came up with some really silly sentences, as can be seen below.<br />
<br />
1) Rebecca needs... to take her contacts out. (Yes, that would be exactly right!)<br />
2) Rebecca needs... a UK address and phone number. (Umm, pretty sure I have both of those already).<br />
3) Rebecca needs... her Icelandic student visa! (Really? When did I get accepted to study there?)<br />
4) Rebecca needs... to speak to her neighbour. (Yes, her wall ivy that's now covering my windows is getting rather annoying).<br />
5) Rebecca needs... friends. (HAHA! I'm such a difficult person to get along with you see).<br />
6) Rebecca needs... anger management. (Yes, probably true also).<br />
7) Rebecca needs... help!!! (Agreed. Psychological more than anything else I think).<br />
8) Rebecca needs... Facebook. (Like a fish needs water!)<br />
9) Rebecca needs... a walking stick. (Nooo that's called a swagger not a limp...)<br />
10) Rebecca needs... to go to bed. (Absolutely! Couldn't agree more!)<br />
<br />
Nighty night, sleep tight!<br />

These were all purchased within the last two months. Most of the MUA range costs £1 per item. Yes. ONE POUND!! I first saw reviews for these eyeshadows on youtube whilst watching some of my favourite makeup gurus. In keeping with the traditional behaviour of a shopaholic and beauty addict I went out the very next morning and purchased some of these items. The colours in the picture are as close to real life as I could get them with my camera. I vow to buy a new camera as soon as I get a payment from Google for my ads (which will probably be in about 15 years time haha).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHBLflCQIVWhPQvWeP_tIuwkPODNrC7r3ilBuvQpw043JiosIwutpeVf8DE6LHYu0UUi3aTmqYLDTxhQMe8iejMwBcnnJ4Iw0NjFKp_3Fr9b5eVOHD81LofsiiUf9WVPezHZarCcaORGs/s1600/mua.bmp" imageanchor="1" style="cssfloat: left; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHBLflCQIVWhPQvWeP_tIuwkPODNrC7r3ilBuvQpw043JiosIwutpeVf8DE6LHYu0UUi3aTmqYLDTxhQMe8iejMwBcnnJ4Iw0NjFKp_3Fr9b5eVOHD81LofsiiUf9WVPezHZarCcaORGs/s640/mua.bmp" width="620" yda="true" /></a></div><br />
The shades of these products are not named but they all have a number. You can choose from Matte or Pearl (which is a shimmer). I chose all pearl as I'm a big fan of shimmery products. The colour range is beautiful and there are some gorgeous deep blues and purples and bright turquoise and greens. I will get them eventually but for now I only purchased the more neutral colours as I am likely to use these most.<br />
<br />
Top Middle: Shade 24 Pearl - Mid brown with a hint of pink undertones.<br />
Top Left: Shade 3 Pearl - Gunmetal grey colour. It's darker than in the picture.<br />
Middle Left: Shade 12 Pearl - Dark brown with gorgeous green shimmer when the light hits it.<br />
Bottom Left: Shade 2 Pearl - Ivory, beautful shimmery colour for a highlight.<br />
Top Right: Shade 14 Pearl - Very dark green, almost looks black.<br />
Middle Right: Shade 7 Pearl - Mid green, stunning shimmer.<br />
Bottom Right: Shade 1 Pearl - Light beige with a subtle gold shimmer. Also great for a highlight colour.<br />
<br />
The pigmentation and colour payoff is absolutely amazing. I've swatched them on my hand but I can't wait to try them on my lids. The dark brown with green shimmer (shade 12) has been described as a dupe for Club by MAC. I don't own MAC Club but I googled it and yes, sure enough, there's the brown with green shimmer exactly like I have right infront of me now. Oh and did I mention that I paid a single POUND for mine haha. Go get them!!<br />
<br />
I have more products from the MUA range but I wanted to keep the eyeshadows seperate. Another haul will follow so you can see the other items.<br />
<br />

It's really very simple. Plain sponge fairy cakes and pink butter icing to decorate. The toppers were ordered from a cake topper company I discovered on ebay. I emailed them a picture and 24 of these toppers arrived in the post in a few days. Fun. Creative. Unique. Perfectly describes me really ;-)BecsLifeOnlinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01475191407321076235noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6174761602140038237.post-57468788838394014382012-03-04T09:11:00.002+00:002012-04-19T09:43:23.402+01:00Avon Goodies and Aldi Skincare Haul<div style="text-align: justify;">Among my many other obsessions, I have a slight addiction to ordering out of the Avon catalogue. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOhEKoWXPYpUr5wiXnsRdjBtUUks4YKVRrYbvcok0foOq4CYImTTRAjaEIDm1Hb4Rpyb1zgguVbel1yw2YFgtJ32oinJjY64rzC9PF45QJwmQhuYRPcGVbeF37jBjY8zJXJnOVE8ket48/s1600/P1160124.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="cssfloat: left; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOhEKoWXPYpUr5wiXnsRdjBtUUks4YKVRrYbvcok0foOq4CYImTTRAjaEIDm1Hb4Rpyb1zgguVbel1yw2YFgtJ32oinJjY64rzC9PF45QJwmQhuYRPcGVbeF37jBjY8zJXJnOVE8ket48/s640/P1160124.JPG" uda="true" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">This yellow polka dot Hello Kitty Cupcake bag was on special offer for £15. I recently posted on my facebook status about being over my Hello Kitty obsession now, and that the way forward for me was cupcakes. So you can imagine my delight when I saw the two combined in Avon! There was no doubt about it, I had to have this bag! I'm sort of glad that I had it on sale price and not full price though or I think I would have been a little disappointed. The quality is not brilliant, the plastic is quite thin... But it looks good so I'm still happy I got it.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxgu45vIXp2Zx78EPn7I0dgbQUC256zZeZJ9gQe7c2HmhTgQ1OFDeddyguAEFchNhYuoZ0BxRZzEA-B7Nnu7wIM84xzgZTzBaEf5EumNxwTt_jp83i0imm3THVqN6jTWMQUlvHgFp0XJQ/s1600/P1160129.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="cssfloat: left; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxgu45vIXp2Zx78EPn7I0dgbQUC256zZeZJ9gQe7c2HmhTgQ1OFDeddyguAEFchNhYuoZ0BxRZzEA-B7Nnu7wIM84xzgZTzBaEf5EumNxwTt_jp83i0imm3THVqN6jTWMQUlvHgFp0XJQ/s640/P1160129.JPG" uda="true" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">This Ultra Colour Rich Mega Impact Lipstick was also on offer for £5. I'm sorry I couldn't open the packaging to do a swatch as it is one of my mam's gifts for Mother's Day. The colour is Pink Pop and I took a colour sample picture from the Avon website. See below:</div><div align="justify" class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEa3KRiNCmt1ksTvj9hW9lm95vvtFDoM55lSLMhsVAy6EivKxBh2WmlFFxRdFVBDTBSvtbCu-GGkGX50N6BXTau9nq2yq-nO8RRNxt-qUMV-N_pCp6x-Yv9HLwLKmXPt6K7QIP22py2pM/s1600/SHADE_89939.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEa3KRiNCmt1ksTvj9hW9lm95vvtFDoM55lSLMhsVAy6EivKxBh2WmlFFxRdFVBDTBSvtbCu-GGkGX50N6BXTau9nq2yq-nO8RRNxt-qUMV-N_pCp6x-Yv9HLwLKmXPt6K7QIP22py2pM/s1600/SHADE_89939.jpg" uda="true" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">The final two items of my Avon haul are both foundations from the 24K Gold Radiant collection. The write-up says "luxurious foundation enriched with real gold to help give skin a natural luminosity." It's suitable for sensitive skin but only has SPF12 which is lower than my current foundations I am using. Again these were on offer. They are supposed to be £14 each but I bought the two of them for £10, so only £5 each. I thought that was a great buy and so I hope I like them. So far I've only swatched them on my hand so I will do a review when I've used them a bit more.</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNi-Uo4QDtcLNBu2d00Kbpnr0Dz54PHdYDEIFCmuccs3Z4JAcQi0mD-Kz5SzaSi-s6H7B8FM-2TSV4XlT6MC3gkXWPLezNkRb442EuMI9SS4gQrJ8jRmeV47hDhvJQj9QZSkcjE0vLi5Y/s1600/P1160126.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="cssfloat: left; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNi-Uo4QDtcLNBu2d00Kbpnr0Dz54PHdYDEIFCmuccs3Z4JAcQi0mD-Kz5SzaSi-s6H7B8FM-2TSV4XlT6MC3gkXWPLezNkRb442EuMI9SS4gQrJ8jRmeV47hDhvJQj9QZSkcjE0vLi5Y/s640/P1160126.JPG" uda="true" width="640" /></a></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">The bottle on the left is shade Nude and the bottle on the right is shade Creamy Natural. The Nude looks very light here but it's not in reality. I bought two different shades as I hadn't purchased this particular foundation before so I wasn't really sure of the colouring, plus I tend to change colour over the seasons anyway. I've swatched both just on my hand and they both seem to work for me. I'm excited to use them to see the coverage they give.</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">The next few haul items were purchased on a bit of a whim after reading some reviews so I hope they live up to their reputation. I came across some reviews for an Aldi anti-ageing cream whilst looking on the internet one day last week. According to various sites, research had shown that the ingredients in the Aldi's products were exactly the same as much higher end products that cost a whole lot more! In a blind survey Aldi came out with the best results based out outcomes after using the products, and beat much more expensive creams. You can find these reviews if you Google "Aldi face cream" or something like that. Hence a quick trip to Aldi the very next day to purchase 5 of the products from their skincare range. </div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />

You would be right! Out of all of the old posts that were 'automagically' removed by the delete button, this was the post that I was most sad to see go. In hindsight I should have saved the post as it was, and reposted here. But my rational thought was overridden by my deletion adrenaline and before I knew what was really happening I had wiped the slate clean.</div><br />
I can't really remember what it said, but I know it was about St. David's Day... Which, as it happens, is today. March 1st 2012... and March 1st every other year also.<br />
<br />
St. David's Day is the celebration of the patron saint of Wales. He was a monk who lived in the 6th Century. A few stories surround the life of St. David. Probably the most well known being the miraculous event that happened whilst he was once preaching to a crowd. Such a large group of people had gathered that people were finding it difficult to see and hear the man. It is said that at this point the ground beneath him raised up so that all could see and hear the Word of God.<br />
<br />
Another story linked to Welsh history and St. David concerns our national symbol - the leek. It is said that when the Welsh were fighting the Saxons, St. David told the Welsh to place a leek in their hats so that they could distinguish each other from the enemy. From then on the leek has been linked to Wales, with people sometimes wearing a leek symbol as well as a daffodil on St. David's Day, or carrying a blow up leek to a rugby match!<br />
<br />
Finally, the third thing that I associate with St. David was a phrase which has become very well known since his death. Just before he died on March 1st at around 100 years old, he uttered the phrase "Gwnewch y pethau bychain", which means "Do the little things". A reminder to us that we don't have to be famous or do outrageous things to get satisfaction in life, but it's the kind words and little acts of generosity that will make other peoples' day and in turn, make us truly happy.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxSkqnMsYkVi7DR-myd8L7LEYgR7HCiYxxvIjZeIYcZI3Rbd65WpsiyFLRRAMeKJhkMSBrStc-DhXkfiWyeHY2VZ0Ojl24kaFXAdjuIfXUZuaL4frzGjM6nVjvFh7QMoJks7r2veLUfrE/s1600/img026.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="cssfloat: left; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="424" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxSkqnMsYkVi7DR-myd8L7LEYgR7HCiYxxvIjZeIYcZI3Rbd65WpsiyFLRRAMeKJhkMSBrStc-DhXkfiWyeHY2VZ0Ojl24kaFXAdjuIfXUZuaL4frzGjM6nVjvFh7QMoJks7r2veLUfrE/s640/img026.jpg" uda="true" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Above is a picture of me dressed in traditional Welsh costume, sitting on my brother's lap. We had to wear this costume to school on St. David's Day for photographs which would appear in the local paper a week later. Fun times!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> </div>So, in true celebration of all things Welsh, here is my WELSH WORD WALL (see my amazing use of alliteration there?). A selection of words that I associate with my beloved country:<br />
<br />
Welsh cakes (Google them!)<br />
Daffodils<br />
Mountains<br />
Male Voice Choirs<br />
Coal Mines<br />
Leeks<br />
Sheep<br />
Cawl (Google! Yummy)<br />
Bara Brith (Google)<br />
Yr Iaith Cymraeg (The Welsh Language)<br />
RUGBY<br />
Valleys<br />
<br />
If you can think of any more good ones, let me know and I will add them to the list! So once again, Happy Saint David's Day to all you Welshies out there, whether you live in Wales or elswhere. Have a great day celebrating your Welshness! :)<br />

Goodness knows how these companies get my address, but in all fairness to them 9 times out of 10 I am genuinely interested in the product they are trying to tempt me with. Today was Garnier's B.B. Cream. The flyer was advertising that on the Garnier UK facebook page you can sign up to receive a free sample of the cream in the mail. I've got a feeling it will probably be a pathetic little amount of product but hey, it's free and I've always wanted to try a B.B. cream after all the hype on youtube (I watch loads of makeup tutorials and hauls etc). So I signed up and, because I'm a nice person, I thought I would share it with you all :) Please note that the image below is the full size product and I am pretty sure that this is not what we will receive in the post!!</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />

Sorry if there are any international readers of my blog but I am assuming this particular offer is only available in the UK. I would like to add here that I am not paid by Cyfoes Healthcare to review their products and I paid for all my own treatments. I wanted to have some sort of facial treatment as I am obsessed with beauty and trying to stay young(ish) looking. I am too young for botox or anything along those lines, so I decided, after a consultation with the expert, to have a chemical peel. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">WOW!</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">I arrived at the premises and was given a warm and friendly welcome. The treatment started with a facial cleansing procedure. It feels like a face massage with some sort of liquid and it is then wiped off. Next comes the chemicals. For the whole treatment I had sticky things over my eyes, which feels a bit weird because you can't open your eyes, but it was ok. The chemical is painted on for a first layer, and dried with a fan, it feels tingly and lovely at this point. There is then a second and third layer of chemicals painted on, also dried with the fan. After this, a few layers of gauze (well it felt like gauze but I couldn't really be sure because my eyes were sort of sellotaped shut haha) were applied to my face. This is when the chemicals start to react and it heats up. It is not an unpleasant feeling, in fact I quite liked the slight burning sensation, it made me feel like it was actually doing some good. Throughout the 20 mins for which I had to keep the gauze on, the specialist (named Andrea) kept applying water to my face to stop the gauze drying out.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Following this, the gauze was taken off and the remainder of the chemicals were wiped away. Next came another really relaxing facial massage with a Vitamin C cream/gel, and finally an application of a moisturiser. I can honestly say it was the most relaxing thing I had ever experienced. Such a lovely calming atmosphere too. If I couldn't feel a few layers of my skin being melted off then I think I might have fallen asleep.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">So... The aftercare? Immediately following the procedure my face felt really tight. It was a little red and blotchy which lasted the rest of the day but was gone by the following morning. But oh my days my face felt soft! I couldn't stop feeling my cheeks all day long. They didn't feel like my own cheeks! I was told to apply an SPF25 moisturiser every day (which I have stuck to religiously). A couple of days later I started to peel. It was a bit like peeling off sunburn. It didn't hurt at all and the peeling only lasted 2-3 days. I came out in a couple of spots on my cheek but I had previously read that this was normal as the peel draws all of the toxins out of your skin. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">It has now been just over a week since I had my treatment. My face still feels softer than it was before but not as soft as that first day. Even though I didn't have any wrinkles, my face does look a bit different somehow, like in better condition, sort of glowing. I have booked a further 2 peels with about 2 months apart between each. Can't wait for the next one. </div><div style="text-align: justify;">The downside? I honestly didn't have any bad experiences. I have read horror stories of chemical peels but I can only go by my own experience which was an extremely relaxing facial massage with what I feel have been very positive outcomes. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The price: I got my peels for £30 each and I booked a course of three peels which came to £90. The peels are normally a bit more expensive than this but I booked them whilst they were on offer for a limited time. Score! :-D The webiste has been under construction lately and I remember asking if the products (such as the vitamin C gel) would be sold by them if we wanted to purchase them separately. Andrea, the specialist, said that all of the products used (apart from the chemicals) would be avaliable to buy on the website soon. Happy days!! I think I have remembered to cover everything here. If there is anything else you would like to know about my experience of a chemical peel, leave a comment below. <br />

</div><div align="justify" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">Well for all of you who still occasionally visit my blog, you will have noticed that the last eight years or so of my life have completely disappeared. That's right! I pressed the delete button (on purpose) and subsequently wiped out almost a decade of my life.</div><div align="justify" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />
</div><div align="justify" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">I did this for various reasons... 1) My posting became very sporadic due to work commitments, and I know that this is very frustrating for regular readers. By starting afresh I hope to give myself the well-needed kick up the backside and get back into regular posting. 2) I have changed. Yes. Now before you start thinking I'm going to launch into a spiel about how I have "found myself" or something along those lines, I'll tell you it's much more simple than that. My previous blog was, for the most part, a day to day diary of my student life at university. At the time it satisfied me to post about these things, and I had a LOT of free time to do so, but my life has moved on and my parents now no longer need to check my blog to see what I've been getting up to at the weekends in uni. I have new interests now, and I have better things to moan about than approaching essay deadlines. Don't get me wrong, university was fun, but looking back at my rather random posts I realised that if even I was bored reading them then it was likely that my readers were stifling yawns as they read also. 3) Thirdly, most of my university shenanigans are better forgotten. Leave them in the past where they belong, and leave no written trail :-)</div><div align="justify" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />
</div><div align="justify" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">It was strangely theraputic to press that "delete all posts" button. I did it with nervousness, trepidation and a shaking finger. But I did it. So what's in store for the new blog? I have become dangerously obsessed with makeup (well dangerous for my bank balance anyway!). So expect a lot of hauls and reviews in the coming months. Also beauty related, my Sister-in-Law (a qualified nurse) has just done extra training to be able to do non-invasive cosmetic surgery. This includes procedures such as botox and dermafillers, chemical peels and microdermabrasions to name but a few. I couldn't wait to have some 'work' done, so I'll be letting you know what had done, how much it cost and what the results were like. The other hobby I would like to share with my readers is my love of card-making. I don't get as much time to create my cards as I would like, but when I do I will post pictures along with the tools/materials used plus the method. Another LOVE of mine is shopping. Yes, I shop too much. No I probably cannot afford the amount I buy hence the reason for half of it ending up on Ebay (another obsession!). Therefore I am sure there will be shopping blogs aplenty here. Finally... I like lists. I think it's called OCD. I write lists for absolutely everything, some are very useful, some are downright silly (even though I realise this, I still write them anyway). So it is my guess that half of my lists will end up published on here for the world to see - and laugh at me for it, but I don't care. Oh and finally, finally... There may be occasional soppy blogs where I gush about the love of my life Rohit Thapa. I will warn you in advance when these are approaching so you can get the sick buckets ready. (But he really is amazing!).</div><div align="justify" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />
</div><div align="justify" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">Well, I think that's long enough for a first post. My reintegration into the Blogosphere. Take care for now, until next time. Feel free to comment if there is anything that has caught your attention here and you would like me to blog about it. Saying that, I've got a funny feeling all my regular readers have abandoned me - I don't blame them!<br />
<br />
Ciao for now ;-)</div>BecsLifeOnlinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01475191407321076235noreply@blogger.com0
